Samsung Galaxy S6 Duo leaks with dual-SIM credentials

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge could be about to get a new spin-off sibling, as images of the dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy S6 Duo leak online.

Shown to offer second-SIM capabilities for an improved work/life balance on a single device, early images of the S6 Duo have surfaced courtesy of PhoneArena.

Reportedly sent in via an unnamed insider, the handset can be seen within a nondescript case, highlighting the phone’s still prototype status.

The second nano-SIM slot is shown to sit alongside the phone’s traditional SIM tray on the phone’s right-hand edge.

As well as visual hardware differences, the Duo’s impending release has been backed up by a series of on-screen images which point to dual-SIM addition.

Joining a SIM card manager option in the phone’s settings menu, the handset has also been shown to sport the S6 device name and the previously tipped SM-G920 model number.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Duo has previously leaked through a Russian electronics retailers, with the 64GB iteration of the device prematurely listed alongside a RUB52,990 (£660) asking price.

There is currently no word on official UK pricing or planned release dates.

Second-SIM expansion aside, it is believed that the S6 Duo will sport the same high-end specs sheet as its single-SIM sibling.

The S6 pairs a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display with a 64-bit Exynos 7430 processor and 3GB of RAM.

Further additions to the handset’s high-end features list include a 16-megapixel, OIS-enhanced primary camera and a TouchWiz skinned version of Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
