Samsung said that all carrier versions of mobile phones are the same, from a frequency band perspective. This means that all U.S. Galaxy S8 phones will operate on all carriers in the U.S. and Canada and roam around the globe. However, foreign phones may have some foreign LTE bands, which is not common in the United States.
On the Sprint, the S8 is the second HPUE-equipped phone (second only to the LG G6), which improves connectivity under weak signal conditions, especially in terms of upload speed. It came as expected. Of the 34 tests performed under very weak signal conditions, only 8 failed on S8 and 24 failed on S7. This is a big difference. In 48 slightly better but still bad tests, I got 2.33Mbps uploads on the S8 and only 1.3Mbps downloads on the S7 (the downloads are almost the same between the two).
