How to Manage/Create/Edit/Delete/Recover Contacts on Samsung Galaxy S5?

Samsung Galaxy S5's Contacts feature allows you to save important details for people who matter to you. Using Contacts, you can save a person's name, address, cellphone number, home number and other personal information about the person. Aside from saving the details, you also manage your contacts, edit, delete and Backup Data on Samsung Galaxy S5.

Part 1: Create a new contact on Samsung Galaxy S5

To add a new contact and details to it, follow these procedures:

1. Press the Home button (lower-middle button) to get to your Galaxy S5's Home screen.
You can also tap on the Back key for a few times until you get to the Home screen.



2. From the Home screen, tap on the Contacts icon located on the Favourites bar of the Home screen (second icon from the left).


3. You will now be taken to the Contacts app where you can add, edit and manage contacts.


4. To add a new contact, tap on the plus (+) icon located on the upper-right part of the screen.



4.You will be asked to choose where to save the new contact.
Tap on the selection to proceed.




Choose Device to save the contact on your phone. If you save the contact to your phone's memory, that contact will not be backed up.
Choose Samsung account to save the contact to your Samsung account and sync it to your phone. You need to Create a Samsung Account on Samsung Galaxy S5 to be able to do this.
Choose Google to save the contact to your Google account and sync it to your phone. You need to Setup Google Account on Samsung Galaxy S5 to be able to do this.

6. Add a picture of your contact by tapping on the picture icon located on the upper-right part of the phone's screen.
You can choose to use a photo from your Images, Tagged pictures, S Note, or take a new picture using your phone's camera.



7. Tap on your selected picture and crop the picture to fit as an image icon of your Contacts.


8.On the Contact details, tap on the Name field and enter your contact's name.


9. On the Phone field, enter your contact's phone numbers.
You can add more phone number fields by tapping on the plus (+) icon or delete entries by tapping on the minus (-) icon.

10. On the Email field, enter your contact's email address.
If there is a need to add an email field, tap on the plus (+) icon. If you want to delete an email field, tap on the minus (-) icon.

Part 2: Edit Contacts on Samsung Galaxy S5

1. Press the Home button (lower-middle button) to get to your Galaxy S5's Home screen.
You can also tap on the Back key for a few times until you get to the Home screen.



2.From the Home screen, tap on the Contacts icon located on the Favourites bar of the Home screen (second icon from the left).


3.You will now be taken to the Contacts app where you can add, edit and manage contacts.



4.From the list of contacts on your phone, choose the contact that you want to edit.
Tap on the target contact to open the contact's page.



5.From the contact's page, tap on the Edit icon (pencil icon) on the upper-right part of the screen.



6.Tap on the fields that you want to edit out.
You can add and delete fields.




Part 3. Delete Contacts on Samsung Galaxy S5

1. Press the Home button (lower-middle button) to get to your Galaxy S5's Home screen.
You can also tap on the Back key for a few times until you get to the Home screen.



2. From the Home screen, tap on the Contacts icon located on the Favourites bar of the Home screen (second icon from the left).


3. You will now be taken to the Contacts app where you can add, edit and manage contacts.


4. Tap and hold on a contact and wait for the selection screen to come up.
