Samsung Pay will have to wait

The mobile payment system from Samsung called Samsung Pay, will not come until the second half. And few markets will be able to benefit.

At the Mobile World Congress held there just two months, Samsung introduced its mobile payment system, called Samsung Pay. The details about him were still scarce, but one thing was certain: in the race for mobile payment, Apple (apple pay) and Google (Android Pay) would not be alone in the running.

Since its announcement, we knew most of Samsung Pay. First, that this system of payment would be inaugurated on Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, that its technology is based on Secure Magnetic Transmission system inherited from the acquisition of start-up LoopPay, and finally, the United States, Korean is partner of American Express and MasterCard. Now while he was expected along the two smartphones, released in April, Samsung Pay has not yet shown even in the USA.

It is on the occasion of the publication of the financial results of Samsung for the first quarter 2015, when the expectation of the Galaxy S6 was sorely felt, that Park Jin-young, the general manager of the firm, finally press release on the subject. He thus indicated that the "launch schedule in other countries after Korea and the United States in the second half of the year is still under discussion," adding further that the compatibility of next shows connected Pay with Samsung brand was still under consideration. For its part, Apple Pay is currently available only in the US, which should quickly become privileged terrain for the battle of mobile payment.
